SS Pulley & Orange Belt for NAD C555I

I had recently ordered the SS pulley and orange belt for my NAD C555i turntable from Mr. Michael Lim. Here is the pic of the previous pulley and belt which came with the turntable.

Removing the existing pulley was a breeze. I did not have light oil as suggested by Michael and therefore I used Goo Gone (available in ACE hardware stores). I put a few drops of it using a cotton ear-bud and then just applied slight pressure upwards using a pair of flat screwdrivers and before I could say voila ! the plastic pulley came off quite easily.

Installing the SS pulley took me a little more time as it was not going down because of the plastic washer inside the allen key hole. But I managed to somehow push it in place. Then it was just a matter of replacing the stock belt with the bright orange one.

The first change I noticed was the time reduced to get the platter spinning. With regards to the sound improvement, though it's not very obvious, but the bass does seem tighter. I must add that I also replaced my stock cartridge with a Nagaoka MP-110 and that could also be a reason for the greater bass. But overall I am satisfied with the purchase.
